Himalayan    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This is Flash and he is five years old. He is the sweetest, softest, friendliest cat you could ever meet and he is our young boys' best friend. That's why it's taken 2-%BD years to make this decision. It was about that long ago when he began peeing on our furniture. We have tried everything in the past two years to cure him, but the only way to keep him from peeing is to confine him into a small space away from our other cat. So long as he is separated, he does not pee outside the litter box, and we think that our other cat is the issue. At this point, we just don't feel it's humane to confine him to a small room all the time and have made ... (Read More)the decision that we need to find a new home for him. He needs a home where he can be loved. He will love you back. (Less)

Manx    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

lassie is a sweet girl who is excellent at relaxing. She is really a very visually striking cat with a little rabbit tail (she is a Manx). She adjusts very well to knew environments as I have had to move her twice. She does well in busy or quiet homes, is fine with children (ignores them) and has lived with dogs before. She didn't get along with my parents female cat but I'm unsure if things would be different with a male cat. Lassie was declawed when I adopted her so she needs a safe home where indoor living is encouraged. I have let her out on occasion but she is kind of a princess and doesn't seem to like bad weather. :) She is really a ... (Read More)great cat. Independent but will come plop down next to you or sit on your lap if you have a fluffy blanket to entice her. Contact me if you are interested in giving her a nice home :) (Less)

Bengal    Age: Adult

Purebred Bengals-Cecil is uncle and 10y.o. Yuki (in window) is 7 y.o. I inherited these beautiful cats--they are actually quite mild mannered but my cats won't stand up to them, Great with my terrier. They are not aggressive and are very loving. They are both declawed. Rescue Me ID: 14-09-09-00331Polaris Loving Lap Cat (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Polaris - This Loving Lap Warmer is Seattle's Shining Star! Adopt Her Today. Looking for an all round great cat for adoption in Seattle? Polaris needs a new home due to allergies, and she is so sweet. She's healthy, affectionate and personable - no-fuss and fabulous. To offer this terrific tabby a home, visit http://petprosservices.com/adopt/ or call Mark for more information at 888-9-PETS4U. $25 rehoming/adoption fee. Hi, My name is Polaris! I am a healthy, happy, well-behaved and very friendly female tabby cat. I am just 8 years young and have been spayed and am up to date on my shots. Originally from California, I have lived a wonderful ... (Read More)life with my owner up until recently, when he developed severe cat allergies. If he wants to be able to breathe - he must find me a new home. Whether outdoors in a cat-safe yard - or indoors purring contentedly on your lap, I am a happy go lucky kitty. I love to go bird watching in my own private jungle, and any sunny day you will find me laying outdoors, soaking up the rays. I 'm a bit territorial, so it would be best for me to find a home where I can be an only cat. I have not lived with dogs before, but I would probably be fine with them - as long as they are fine with me. To my new home, I will bring my outdoor kitty home, cat carrier, brush and a months worth of food. All you need to add is a safe, forever home and an hour or two of love and attention each day. I'm a really lovely kitty, and I would love to share my life with a die hard cat lover who has some time to spend petting and brushing me while I keep her lap warm. I a great cat.. a shining star'| Please adopt me today. Whiskers and Paws, Polaris Polaris's Personality: Polaris is a sociable cat who loves people. She loves getting a back scratch or a pet. She loves to sit in laps and be loved. She does really well as an outdoor cat, or semi-outdoor cat as she loves going outside. Polaris's Current Home Environment: Currently lives outdoors in West Seattle. Has a cat home (outdoor waterproof sleeping area) and multiple favorite spots to snooze in the sun. Polaris's Current Family: Polaris was adopted in Santa Cruz, CA. I took her under my care and she did really well. I was fortunate enough to always have an outdoor space where she could live, which was what she loved. I am a young guy who's always on the move, and I think Polaris really needs somewhere to settle down. Polaris's Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities? Favorite toys are feathers and lazers. Food is tuna. Activities is looking at birds and chirping at them. Cute Polaris Story: Polaris loves to lay in the sun and lap it up. Why is Polaris Being Rehomed? I recently found out that I am allergic to Polaris (she was outdoor, but then when I moved her indoors I was unable to breathe) Polaris's Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be: A House with a backyard and a cat lover is ideal. Ideally you'd let her sit in your lap once a day and brush her. She'd love that. Other than that she's pretty content to go around the yard and pretend to chase birds. (Less)

Domestic Cat    Age: Senior

Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Two 11-year old brother cats in need of a new home. They would do best in a quiet home without young children. They are both very sweet and gentle, and enjoy getting pets and quiet time with people. They are a little jumpy and afraid of loud noises and especially the yells and unpredictable movements of young children. They had their last round of vaccines about 2 years ago and have both been in fairly good health over their lives. They were once indoor/outdoor cats, but have only been indoor cats for the past 2 years as there are many predators where we currently live. They were born in May 2003 and adopted at 3 months old. They were not ... (Read More)pleased with our new addition to the family 2.5 years ago when my daughter was born. They stay hidden in the bedroom whenever my daughter is awake and thus they have not been getting as much attention as they need. We're expecting another addition in a few weeks and their one sanctuary in the house is going to be invaded by a new baby. With the changes in our family and in our household, I think they'd be happier with another family in a quieter house. Please help give these loving cats a new home! (Less)

American Shorthair    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Abused/Neglected

These two sweeties are in need of a home and some vet care.(will attach pics to return email) They live in the alley behind where my husband works and are super cats. The black and white one has one eye and he is super friendly and actually fairly healthy. The little calico is drooling and sticks her tongue out indicating some kind of dental problem. She has recently developed a respiratory prob. She is semi feral, will come to my fingers and shys away but She desperately wants to be loved. All she needs is a place and people she can trust. I am not in a position to take them in or I would. I have made sure they are fed and watered and have ... (Read More)given them antibiotics and vitamins hoping to get them in better health. The little calico has come a long way from where she was when my husband first started working there. She could barely stand on her own and now gets around fine and actually will chase the string and play. I have been able to slow the drooling problem immensely. Is there anyone out there who can help these two? As you can see they are a pair. Stick together all the time. They are going to end up killed in the street one day and this would break my heart. I will round them up for someone who would be willing to give them a home and love and who would be willing to get them the med attention they need. Thank You, Laurie (Less)

Fluffy was rescued approximately a year ago. Her previous life has had an impact on her demeanor. She is a quiet cat who likes to sleep most of the day and is very well behaved, but she is fearful of people coming near her. During a quiet time she at times will approach you for a quick pet and she loves to play with toys. Fluffy needs to be in a quiet home with no dogs and no young children. She startles easily and will do best in a quiet, peaceful home. She requires standard care required by most Persians, weekly brushing and daily eye/face washing. She tolerates grooming well and loves soaking in a sink of warm water while being bathed. ... (Read More)Please contact me if your interested and share a little about your home environment. Thanks! Persian    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed

Charlotte is a very pretty, very playful little girl who loves chasing the laser light and sliding on my wood floor. She loves to get scratches and will jump in your face to get them. I'm not home very often anymore, and she needs someone who has lots of time to pet her and brush her and play with her. She also has troubles using the cat pan on a regular basis and, living in a rented apartment, it is a big problem. I have another cat who she gets along with just fine. She hasn't been around dogs as far as I know, so I don't know how she would get along with one. She tends to hide when my little niece comes over, but she doesn't mind older ... If you need help to set her up, I have extra wet and dry cat food, kitty litter, and toys to give with her if need be. (Less)

Siamese Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

Teddy is a 3 year old, neutered male, fire point Siamese. My mother is moving away to New Mexico and the cat is in need of socialization. He does have an unpredictable streak about him, but he can be playful at times. What he needs is socialization. I can not give it to him because I am facing surgery and his personality and I don't get along, but I want him to get a chance in the world and not be put down for his behavior. He will make a fine cat afterwards.

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed

I recently moved, and my mom is not allowing me to keep my cat. I absolutely love her and would keep her if I could, but she needs a new home. She is very sweet and lovey. Her mother was a stray and we took her in, I socialized her while she was young which is why she is very friendly with humans. She however does not like other cats. One reason we cannot keep her is because our neighbors cat would come to our window all the time and taunt her, and she would try to attack him through the window. She had also peed in the apartment when I left for a few days because she felt abandoned. She does know how to use a litter box, but as she has aged ... (Read More)she goes outside more often and has learned to go outside. She has never attacked or purposefully hurt anyone but me, and she has only attacked me a couple times(she is very hard to make mad). She also, is not very good with dogs. She will tolerate them, but they do upset her, especially of they won't leave her alone. I am not sure how she would react with very small children(maybe younger than 6 or 7 is not a good idea).     Sgt Pepper is from Seattle and bonded with Jack Purrs, anyone? This pair of super affectionate and laid back kitties are looking for a loving, forever home in the Seattle area. Sgt Pepper and Jack (a Calico and Black cat) are both neutered males with no health problems at all. They are 6 years young and extremely friendly lap cats. They would be well suited to a home with children, a senior couple or a single cat lover. To adopt Sgt Pepper and Jack, please call Debbie today at or fill out our adoption application form here: http://petprosservices.com/adopt/. (Adoption/rehoming fee of $50 applies). Hi, Our names are Sgt Pepper and Jack! Two ... (Read More)nicer cats you will never meet! We are a bonded pair of healthy, neutered male kitties. We get along super well with each other - and with everyone else we have ever met - both four and two-footed. We are more like dogs than cats. Extremely laid back and friendly. We are the ultimate lap cats. We are both very clean, use our litter box always, and get along with dogs, other cats, kids and strangers. We are the kitties of divorce, and are in desperate need of a loving, forever home. Our current owner loves us very much, but is in the midst of many huge changes in the wake of a divorce which make finding us a new home necessary. She simply is not able to give us the time or attention we need and deserve. She has had to move many times in the past year, and we really want and need a more stable home environment. We will bring all of our cat belongings with us. This includes our condos and tower, litter boxes, food, and a mountain of cat toys. All you need to add is a stable, loving forever home and lots of care and attention. If you have been seeking that purrfect pair of pussycats, please choose us! We really are cool cats with personality plus. We'll add immeasurable joy and plenty of purrs to your life! Hope to hear from you soon! Sgt Pepper and Jack Sgt Pepper and Jack's Personality Sgt is spunky, playful, tenacious and full of personality. He makes me laugh all the time'|. He's also is very sweet tempered and loves attention. He often sits on my lap and follows me around the house. He is a very good boy. He likes to be vocal and chatty with me, often greeting me at the door with hello's. He likes to be dominant in his home, but loves his adopted brother Jack very much. They groom each other and lay together often. We've also lived with 2 dogs, but of whom he's done very well with. We lived with a miniature yorkie named Winston, and they often laid together and enjoyed each other's company. Currently, we live with a boxer/pit mix named Lucy. Sgt is great with her, he often wants to play although I'm not sure he's fully aware of what he's getting himself into I adopted Sgt form the Payne County Humane Society in Stillwater, Ok in June of 2008. Jack is a big baby. He is a purr bucket to say the least, always audibly happy without a care in the world. He is the biggest lap cat I've ever encountered, and I think he'd be so perfect for any family. He gets along well with all people and animals, easily the most agreeable cat in the world. He loves to play with laser toys and those mice-on-a-rope type toys. I originally adopted him from my college roommate when she had to move home and leave school. That was in August 2010. Why is Sgt Pepper and Jack Being Rehomed? I recently got divorced, have moved 8 times in the last year, and my life has no sign of slowing down. Trying to find a place to live, can't afford to keep the boys. My ex-husband won't take either of them, so I don't have a huge choice. Working all the time to try and make ends meet, and I've realized this will be what's best for them. Additional Comments: I'd like the boys to stay together, but I realize that may not be possible. Whatever is easiest and fastest - and best for them. (Less)

Sgt Pepper and Jack's Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be: Sgt would do well in many environments, although I suspect he'd like to live alone or with one other cat or dog. Jack will do well in most situations, he loves attention. I think he'd do well both with a family that has children as well as with an older lady or single human household. Since he is in need of attention, though, perhaps a retired person may be best in that situation. Additional Comments: I'd like the boys to stay together, but I realize that may not be possible. Whatever is easiest and fastest - and best for them. (Less)

Monty (m) and Maggie (f) need a new home! My mother is now in a nursing home and I can't keep them, I have Border Collies who corner, herd and chase them incessantly. They are Siamese-Himalayan, 9-1/2 yrs. old, born 12/31/2004, both neutered/spayed, current on their shots (Alpine View Veterinary Hospital 360-794-6662), front claws declawed as kittens (my mother-to save her furniture-she always had 4-6 cats at a time and all lived very long lives), and were litter mates; they've been together since birth. They need a cats-only home or one with very mellow dog/dogs who won't chase them. Along with the kitties they have 1 cat condo, 3 cat ...     Bali is a wonderful companion cat. He is loving and loves to snuggle and be petted. We love him, but have had 2 children in the past 4 years and this poor little guy is TERRIFIED of them! It is safe to say he has spent 80% of the time over the past 4 years under my bed which just breaks my heart. he was a talker, and a snuggler before. It makes me so very sad to even contemplate giving him to a new home, but he is not enjoying his life here at our home. Domestic Cat    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Tabitha Twitchett will steal your heart and lick your chin. Tabitha loves people of all ages, as long as they are gentle with her. She will climb on your lap and purr, and will sleep at the foot of your bed. As much as Tabitha loves people, though, she does not love other animals, and as she gets older, this is becoming more of a problem. She has no tolerance for dogs or other cats, and this situation is creating a lot of stress in our multi-pet home, especially for Tabitha. We love Tabitha very much, but we know she would be happier in a home where she can focus on loving human beings instead of hissing at dogs and cats. Tabitha has ... (Read More)never had any health problems and has always had annual vet exams. She is micro-chipped and up to date on all vaccinations. She is 10 years old, but according to her vet, she could easily live another 5-10 years. She is very active for her age, and loves to chase laser beams, play with other toys, and chirp at birds she sees through the window. We used to allow Tabitha to go outdoors during the day, but when we moved last year she became an indoor-only cat, and adjusted very well to the change. If you promise to provide Tabitha with a loving home, we will provide her bed, scratching posts, catnip, a months supply of her favorite food (Iams dry and canned), and a variety of toys. We are extremely attached to our beautiful Tabby-cat, but we know she will be happier in a home where she can have her humans' full attention. Could that be your home? (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Cat in Washington
Cats can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. Domestic Cats have been intriguing companions for humans since ancient times. Worldwide, cats are even more popular than dogs as pets. Sadly, huge numbers of cats are in need of adoption and care. A cat owner who no longer wants the cat, or is no longer able to care for a cat, may drop the cat off at a shelter or simply abandon it. Overcrowding in shelters, along with too few adoptive families for the cats, leads to many wonderful pets having to be euthanized. Abandoned cats fend for themselves and breed in the wild, forming colonies of feral cats. Feral cats have such a difficult existence that they typically only live an average of two years, whereas domestic cats can live an average of twelve years with proper care. Organizations exist that can catch and tame feral kittens, and then place them in a home, but adult ferals can rarely be socialized to trust humans. Meanwhile, many prospective cat owners choose to purchase a kitten from a pet store or breeder, and may not know that even purebred cats and kittens are often available for adoption.

Once someone is ready for the responsibility of caring for a cat, adoption can be an incredibly rewarding decision. Adoption benefits cats, owners, and society alike. Adopting a cat is typically much less expensive than purchasing one. Shelters often have a wide selection of very sweet, friendly cats and kittens, including purebreds. Adoptive owners enjoy bonding with their pets, and have the extra satisfaction of knowing they have rescued a wonderful companion from a hard existence. Every cat adopted means one less cat has to be euthanized. Every kitten purchased new results in one less opportunity for adoption to take place. If you are ready for a pet cat, please consider adoption!
