Iceman is an 8 year old Turkish Angora cat. He is one of the many abandoned pure breed strays of Shanghai. He was rescued in May 2016, beaten up with open wounds, starving. He has a permanent gum disease that requires a small daily pill and diabetes that requires twice a day insulin injections. His care will require patience and finances. But he won't stand a chance on the streets of Shanghai. He is the sweetest boy ever and loves humans. He is chipped, neutered and vaccinated, has all his ID book and health records since we rescued him. He can travel to other countries for his forever home. He needs a loving and caring home for his senior years, please consider. (Less)

She has been such a blessing in our life in China, but unfortunately we have to move back to South Africa in a few months. She is a shy and sensitive cat but with an amazing healing energy to her. Anyone who ends up with this angel will be lucky and blessed. :)

This is a 2 month old kitten (born on May 18) from a stray calico cat whom my parents started feeding in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China. There are two kittens who need loving new home(s) (the other has more gray tabby pattern on the back of the head, also on the back). The mom cat and the kittens are all very friendly, and extremely cute. The kittens haven't been exposed to the outside world yet. The kitty family now live in my parents' bike room. My parents are looking for loving homes for the kittens because they worry about their own aging, and that they won't be able to provide adequate care for three cats. I myself live overseas, and can't help them much other than helping them spread the word. Please contact me if you could find space in your heart (and home) for either or both of these kittens. My parents will get the mom spayed once the kittens go to good homes. Thanks for your attention. Please email me. (Less)

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Cat in China|
Cats can make good pets in China if they match your IifestyIe. Domestic Cats have been intriguing companions for humans since ancient times. Worldwide, cats are even more popular than dogs as pets. Sadly, huge numbers of cats are in need of adoption and care. A cat owner who no longer wants the cat, or is no longer able to care for a cat, may drop the cat off at a shelter or simply abandon it. Overcrowding in shelters, along with too few adoptive families for the cats, leads to many wonderful pets having to be euthanized. Abandoned cats fend for themselves and breed in the wild, forming colonies of feral cats. Feral cats have such a difficult existence that they typically only live an average of two years, whereas domestic cats can live an average of twelve years with proper care. Organizations exist that can catch and tame feral kittens, and then place them in a home, but adult ferals can rarely be socialized to trust humans. Meanwhile, many prospective cat owners choose to purchase a kitten from a pet store or breeder, and may not know that even purebred cats and kittens are often available for adoption.
Once someone is ready for the responsibility of caring for a cat, adoption can be an incredibly rewarding decision. Adoption benefits cats, owners, and society alike. Adopting a cat is typically much less expensive than purchasing one. Shelters often have a wide selection of very sweet, friendly cats and kittens, including purebreds. Adoptive owners enjoy bonding with their pets, and have the extra satisfaction of knowing they have rescued a wonderful companion from a hard existence. Every cat adopted means one less cat has to be euthanized. Every kitten purchased new results in one less opportunity for adoption to take place. If you are ready for a pet cat, please consider adoption!
