This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. 6 year old flame point Ragdoll. Was declawed when I got him at 9 months old. I am, unfortunately not able to care for him as I need to anymore due to health issues. :( I need for him to go to a LOVING and CARING FOREVER home, please. This is breaking my heart. :'( He's gorgeous. Loves to be brushed!! He will come with everything I have for him. Small $50 fee so I'll know you're serious and can afford him and his care. Thank you.

Small, friendly kitten was found this morning outside of Holly Springs High School. Approaches people, but some students were being cruel to it (throwing it, kicking it, etc.) so I asked my husband to come take it home temporarily. It indoors in our care. Tail has some slight degloving, seems a little underweight, could really use some TLC. I am willing to help pay to vet it if someone can foster or rescue, but I have three cats and a dog already and my landlord won't let me take any more permanently. I will add a photo this afternoon! Cute gray tabby, have not yet sexed it.

|Rescue Me ID: 17-03-24-00368Kenny (male)|
I am reposting Kenny on this site as the last people that adopted him have given Kenny back as he did not get along with their small children. Kenny is a beautiful sealpoint siamese very adult compatible declawed and is an indoor cat only. His temperment is wonderful with adults as Kenny is pretty much a low maintenance cat who keeps to himself! Would be great with older or single adult. We have adopted our grandson and as much as we love Kenny our grandson comes first. Looking for a good home and someone to love him as much as we do.

|Rescue Me ID: 16-08-31-00421LEXI (female)|
LEXI was surrendered to the shelter when her elderly owner could no longer care for her. She is 11 years old and spayed. She is very stressed out at the shelter and has begun licking her hair out in anxiety. For this reason, we think a home without small children would be best. Lexi's adoption fee is discounted to $20 because she is a senior. If interested in her, email us at email@example.com, call us at 662=846-1155, or come see us at 200 W. |Rescue Me ID: 16-05-04-00267Liza (female)|
Liza came to us from another rescue. They thought she was feral, but as it turns out, she just needed time and patience. She has come out of her shell, and is now a sweet girl. She is a laid back shy girl, but very sweet. She would do best in a quiet home with experienced cat people who will be gentle and patient with her.

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Cat in Mississippi|
Cats can make good pets in Mississippi if they match your IifestyIe. Domestic Cats have been intriguing companions for humans since ancient times. Worldwide, cats are even more popular than dogs as pets. Sadly, huge numbers of cats are in need of adoption and care. A cat owner who no longer wants the cat, or is no longer able to care for a cat, may drop the cat off at a shelter or simply abandon it. Overcrowding in shelters, along with too few adoptive families for the cats, leads to many wonderful pets having to be euthanized. Abandoned cats fend for themselves and breed in the wild, forming colonies of feral cats. Feral cats have such a difficult existence that they typically only live an average of two years, whereas domestic cats can live an average of twelve years with proper care. Organizations exist that can catch and tame feral kittens, and then place them in a home, but adult ferals can rarely be socialized to trust humans. Meanwhile, many prospective cat owners choose to purchase a kitten from a pet store or breeder, and may not know that even purebred cats and kittens are often available for adoption.
Once someone is ready for the responsibility of caring for a cat, adoption can be an incredibly rewarding decision. Adoption benefits cats, owners, and society alike. Adopting a cat is typically much less expensive than purchasing one. Shelters often have a wide selection of very sweet, friendly cats and kittens, including purebreds. Adoptive owners enjoy bonding with their pets, and have the extra satisfaction of knowing they have rescued a wonderful companion from a hard existence. Every cat adopted means one less cat has to be euthanized. Every kitten purchased new results in one less opportunity for adoption to take place. If you are ready for a pet cat, please consider adoption!
