Milo Domestic Short Hair Male 3 months old Growing! Pumpkin pie, pumpkin patch, pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin bread'| Oh, hello there! I was just making a quick list of all the amazing things that have to do with pumpkins. I'm sure you'd like to be part of that list, wouldn't you? Well today is your lucky day! While my 'official' name is Milo, I've been affectionately called Pumpkin and I'm ready to meet my forever family. Yeah, you heard me right'|it's kinda like the 'artist formerly known as Prince'!?! I'm Milo-formerly and affectionately known as Pumpkin. Ha! I crack myself up! I recently moved from Leadville to the Denver metro ... (Read More)area and have been staying with a PawsCo foster family. It's hard being the new guy in the neighborhood but I'm slowly adjusting. I like to sit back and observe my surroundings; no need to make any rash decisions-got to make sure I'm taking the time to properly plan out all of my nine lives. Here is what I have planned so far: 1. Find my forever family-that's where you come in. 2. Exercise more. Just kidding'| I'm a cat-I don't exercise! Well, unless there is a laser pointer involved, then I'm all in. 3. Acquire more toys. There are so many in this world and there is really no good reason I shouldn't give them all a try. 4. Take more naps. Cats in general take far too few naps. 5. Find more hiding spots. It's pretty much my favorite hobby. 6. Meet a human kid. I've never met one yet. 7. Figure out a dog, if that's even possible. I'm so intrigued by them'| not scared, just curious. 8. Figure out my forever name (as picked by my forever family!) What do you think? I think it's a pretty good list so far. Maybe we can work on the rest of my list together. I'm sure you have some things in mind too. Maybe things like: play Scrabble with your new kitty or give lots of love to your new handsome orange and white cat who is friendly, litter box trained, and ready to snuggle on demand. I really like the sound of that second idea. I mean, don't get me wrong- I'm up for playing Scrabble too'| but if we're being honest, I'll likely just bat the letters around until they spell out funny things like hairball or calico (1o points). Well, that about covers everything. So if you're ready for me to be the apple of your eye, Pumpkin in your pie, and your furry feline guy, fill out an adoption application and e-mail adopt@pawscoadoptions.org to let them know you want to meet Milo (aka, the kitten formerly known as Pumpkin), the orange guy.     Bonus Domestic Short Hair Male 2 months old 3 lbs. (and growing!) Hi there, it's me, Bonus! I'm going to let you in on a little secret-you're going to get a bonus this year if you make me part of your family! Seriously though, you're sure to feel rich (with love) with a bright, young kitten like me around your house! Let me tell you a little more about me. I'm new to this life and quickly learning about the world. I'm lucky enough to live with some other cats in my foster home, and we enjoy each other's company, as well as snuggling. I would really like to find a home with cats like this! If you have gentle dogs, I'm up for meeting them ... (Read More)too, especially if they are up for snuggles! Even though I can be reserved when I first meet new people and animals, I quickly warm up and will happily show them affection. It seems like the more people I meet, the more open I become. The world is my oyster, after all! Lately, I've kept busy by watching and learning about everything my foster mom does. She's been great in helping me grow and feel comfortable in my surroundings. Oh yeah, some additional bonus points-I'm litter-box trained, and I occasionally enjoy a good workout on the scratching post (but not your couch!). I know it would be a bonus to have me in your home-don't you agree? If so, then let's meet. Please send an email to adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and fill out an adoption application on their website.     Hardy Domestic Long Hair Male 5 months 4 lbs. (and growing!) Hello, everybody! I'm Hardy, your PawsCo entertainer and comedian! Making you laugh is my number one pleasure, so why don't we start with a few jokes? 'What is it called when a cat wins a dog show?' A CAT-HAS-TROPHY! 'What do you call a pile of kittens?' A MEOWNTAIN! Oh boy, I crack myself! All jokes aside, I'm really here to find my forever home. You see, PawsCo thinks my brother Laurel and I were dumped in Burlington. Meh, I guess they didn't like my jokes! Anyway, now I'm on the hunt for a forever family who I can share all my funny antics with and give all the love my ... (Read More)little kitty heart can hold! As you've gathered, I'm a light-hearted and entertaining kitten. I love all people and am very affectionate. One endearing thing I do is toss myself into my foster mom's lap and demand a belly rub. I love to snuggle and would make a great cuddle companion during this cold Colorado winter. On the flipside, when it's playtime I'm full of energy! I'd be the ideal fur baby for a noisy, lively home full of kids and/or other animals who love to play! I absolutely adore my brother Laurel. We love to snuggle and play together. I love all other cats I've met but have not been introduced to dogs yet. I'm litter box trained and quick to learn any other tricks you'd like to teach me! I am a five-month-old black and white domestic long hair kitten. Now if you think my personality is funny, you should see my hilarious half-stache! My black spots just happen to dash on the side of my mouth, which looks like I've got a crooked mustache. Ha! As for my size, I'm a measly four pounds right now, but I'm growing by the day! To boot, I've got striking greenish gold eyes. Want to hear another joke? Then you'll have to fill out the adoption sheet on pawsco.org and email adopt@pawscoadoptions.org to set up a meet-and-greet and adopt me! Only then will I unveil my greatest joke yet. See you then!     Bennie Domestic Short Hair Male 2 months old 2 lbs. (and growing!) Well hey there. I'm Bennie. Bennie from the block. I got swept off my feet and safe from the streets by the good people at PawsCo. I was a little shy and not so sure about humans at first, but man, I am getting used to this cuddling business! It's the best. Sometimes I still hide out of habit, but I'm learning that attention and cuddling are a lot more fun! I like playing with toys like bells and feathers. I'm making new buddies with some other pets, and can't wait to meet some kiddos so I can be completely goofy with these fun-size people! I might not have been ...     Blue Ivy American Longhair Female 8 years old Hi, Blue Ivy here; a strong, independent woman known for being great company. I love my humans and I look after them. In a former life, I must have been a hair stylist, because when my humans need some grooming, I just love to help them out! I've got a real knack for styling hair, and when I see my humans are in need of a new look, I like to help them out. Part of being an independent woman means I am strong enough to speak up when I need something. My foster family says I am very vocal and will meow plentifully when I need to get your attention for a bite to eat, a little bit of catnip, or even ... (Read More)just a little love. Having lived a good life, I am a very calm cat, and I do great with people of the similar demeanor. I have not been around many children, but I imagine if they, too, are calm, then we would be great friends. It has been awhile since I have been around dogs or cats, but an open-minded lady like me is up for any introduction. Likely, a mild-mannered animal would be a great match. I have been around for a few years, and I have learned the key to being a perfect kitten. I've got all the manners of a lovely lady, but let me tell you friend, I have enough spunk and sass to also keep the days fun and festive! Are you looking to have a strong lady with a sweet demeanor around your house? Do you need a live-in hairstylist to help you keep up your fresh look? Or maybe you are looking for someone to keep you company at home with some great conversation and cuddle time? If this sounds like you, I think I am the gal you are looking for!     The Royal Cats of Glendale Seek New A Castle To Call Home HRH. Sophie, and HRH Mimi, the unofficial Queen and Princess of Glendale, are seeking new subjects to rule over. These regal felines rule with an iron paw, requiring ongoing adoration and regular access to a warm, human lap and plenty of cuddles. Both the Queen and Princess are 4 years young, healthy, spayed and up to date on their vaccinations. The purrfect new 'queendom' for their majesties will be a castle with only one or two servants. The ladies enjoy a quiet existence with their thrones placed near the castle windows, where they can survey the grounds, watching the royal ... (Read More)birds and bees, while partaking of the sun's rays. Their new estate should not contain their arch rivals - dogs. Actually, don't speak of dogs in their royal presence, lest ye be hissed at. Both of these majestic cats have exceptional mannerisms, having been attended graciously by their existing lady in waiting since kittenhood. Despite their lofty self image, both ladies are easily cared for, and do not have expensive tastes. They often forget their 'blue blood' and engage in rather raucous activities, gayly chasing one another around as if 'commoners'. They have even been witnessed chasing string and batting at cat toys (quite regularly, actually). Both cats have been regularly attended by the Royal veterinarian, and are exceptionally healthy. They have been recently given their annual vaccinations and there shall be no 'royal progeny'. (They are spayed). Please lower your drawbridge and welcome the Queen and Princess into your heart and home. They will surely make your house feel like a Castle. You can offer these adorable cats a home using our online application form here: http://petprosservices.com/adopt/. There is a $50 adoption/rehoming fee for both cats, once an adoption is finalized. All supplies will be included. If you have any questions about Sophie and Mimi, or the adoption process, please feel free to call Mark toll free at 888-9-PETS4U. (Less)

I know I have to do this to get myself a loving forever home and move on, but please understand that it is hard after what I have been through. I do really like other animals, I seem to bond better with them at first. They have never treated me badly and I went through my bad experience with many other animals, so I feel connected to them. Demi has spent a lot of time getting me to trust her and after being here for so long I have realized that she is good. I am a very smart cat, I have been doing clicker training and even know ... I love to explore as well, but Demi loves how I listen to her when it is time to come eat or need go somewhere else. I have been here for a long time and would really like to find a forever home soon. I will take some time to warm up and show my true colors, but it will be worth it! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Cat in Colorado
Cats can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. Domestic Cats have been intriguing companions for humans since ancient times. Worldwide, cats are even more popular than dogs as pets. Sadly, huge numbers of cats are in need of adoption and care. A cat owner who no longer wants the cat, or is no longer able to care for a cat, may drop the cat off at a shelter or simply abandon it. Overcrowding in shelters, along with too few adoptive families for the cats, leads to many wonderful pets having to be euthanized. Abandoned cats fend for themselves and breed in the wild, forming colonies of feral cats. Feral cats have such a difficult existence that they typically only live an average of two years, whereas domestic cats can live an average of twelve years with proper care. Organizations exist that can catch and tame feral kittens, and then place them in a home, but adult ferals can rarely be socialized to trust humans. Meanwhile, many prospective cat owners choose to purchase a kitten from a pet store or breeder, and may not know that even purebred cats and kittens are often available for adoption.

Once someone is ready for the responsibility of caring for a cat, adoption can be an incredibly rewarding decision. Adoption benefits cats, owners, and society alike. Adopting a cat is typically much less expensive than purchasing one. Shelters often have a wide selection of very sweet, friendly cats and kittens, including purebreds. Adoptive owners enjoy bonding with their pets, and have the extra satisfaction of knowing they have rescued a wonderful companion from a hard existence. Every cat adopted means one less cat has to be euthanized. Every kitten purchased new results in one less opportunity for adoption to take place. If you are ready for a pet cat, please consider adoption!

lnteresting Cat Trivia Low-Cost Colorado Spay & Neuter Clinics
All domestic cats are descended from African wild cats. The cats in the Broadway show, Cats, were inspired by feral cats in London made famous as T.S. Eliot's Jellicle Cats. Cats were incredibly popular in ancient Rome; Rome may have been spared from plague outbreaks due to its huge population of feral cats keeping the rat population under control. Today, Rome has the largest number of feral cats of any city in the worldabout 300,000 felines! The largest domestic cat ever weighed was about 46 pounds!
