Rescue Me ID: 18-04-20-00124Callie (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Female Cats Only, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

Callie is sweet, but a little apprehensive at times. She will let us pet her, but not pick her up. She has come a long way in six months, though, so in the right home, I believe she will become sweeter and more affectionate. Over the winter, she began preferring being indoors, which was fine, because it's safer, but then she began freaking out over our one male cat. She will not tolerate him, and he 'came first', thus this appeal for her new home. If not for that one problem, she would have her forever home with us. It is possible that our male cat is the only one with whom she has a problem, but we don't know that for sure. She is ... (Read More)very playful with our female cats (and with a dangling string!) She just needs another 'Mom' that loves her and will be patient. Thanks for looking! (Less)

Loud noises and quick movements startle her but she loves soft singing sounds and baby talk. Her favorite thing in the world is to sit on your lap'|forever'| and be pet and scratched on the head and ears. She won't jump up on a lap by herself but she can be scruffed. When you are done just stand up. If you push her off she isn't going to want to go and she will think you are trying to hurt her and may nip but really just getting to know her and her ways will prevent all that. Because of her cross-eyes she feels threatened if you wave or dangle your fingers in her face and she may nip, again, common sense, patience and understanding! She has so many good qualities, learn her ways and be smart and respectful of them. Shelby likes interactive toys like feather on a stick or shoe lace drag. It will say the status in ALL CAPS at the very top of the pets post, and updates are posted in the comment section of the pets post. Once on the Facebook page, type the pets name in the search box to easily pull up all the posts on that pet. Q: I don't see a phone #. Will someone please call me? A: Everything needed is online. I have found that online is the most efficient way to get all the work done. In the past, when I posted my #, my phone rang off the hook all day. So I spent the whole day on the phone, with not much work to show for it at the end of the day. Again, everything needed is online. Q: How do I adopt this pet? She tried to eat, but was having difficulties. I was able to pick her up, carry her to the litter box and then schedule a vet appointment. Bailey had severe stomatitis. All her teeth have been pulled. Ten weeks later, she's recovered, eats dry and wet food, with no teeth! I think she's doesn't see well out of her left eye, but is fine seeing out of her right eye. She walks fine and is beginning to jump up onto my couch with no problems. The Vet thinks she's ... (Read More)about 6 years old, and has spent most of her life fighting off other outside cats. One of the maintenance men, told me she was always alone, and lived under a bush, even in the heat of summer. She has tested negative for FeLV and FIV Dec 2017. She loves to sleep in her own kitty bed. She likes to come out of the bathroom to roam. When she hears my voice, she comes to me. She needs a nice peaceful life now. To be adored as she should have been the first six years of her life. It's not fair to Bailey to live with all my other cats and not feel safe. This is the reason I'm hoping to find a wonderful home for Miss Bailey If you are interested in adopting Bailey, please complete the Cat Adoption Application and, if you are selected as a prospective adopter, we will contact you to set up a meet and greet.     MERRY (black SH kitten) - AVAILABLE! Only $55 adoption!!! This sweetheart was surrendered to a local shelter as a stray. While at the shelter, she showed fear, so that landed her on their euthanasia list. That is when Safe Haven stepped in. Merry is from the same litter as KissMe and Mistletoe, and she took the longest to come up to me and trust me out of the 3. She is now super sweet & affectionate and will rub up against my legs. She has turned into an absolute lovebug! She loves to play with any kind of ball, and she will carry the smaller toys around in her mouth like a dog does. I think that is so cute! Birthday: 8/19/17 Weight at ... (Read More)last Vet visit: 4 lbs (Merry is the largest of the three kittens) Cats: Yes, she is good with other cats once she gets to know them. At first, she hissed & growled at the other cats, but over the course of a few days, she relaxed and was friendly with them. Now that she knows them, she has learned that new friends are a good thing and now plays with other cats and rubs up on them and gives them love. Merry is from the same litter as KissMe and Mistletoe, and she is the closest with them. So if you want 2 kittens, Merry and Mistletoe would make a good pair (KissMe has been adopted). Small Dogs: She is getting used to them. Large Dogs: She is getting used to them. Kids: Unknown Men: Unknown Women: Sweet, loving and friendly Strangers: Keeps her distance and watches. Food: I feed all the cats on a rotational diet. Which means they get a different brand of high quality food each month. Just like one food can't provide us with all that we need...Plus, who wants to eat the same thing every day? She has a full bowl of dry food out all the time. She's a great eater and has eaten everything I've offered her. Litter Box Trained: Yes, I use the scoopable litter. Scratch Pad Trained: Unknown, there is a scratch pad in the kitty room, but I do not know who uses it and who doesn't. I use the cardboard type that lays flat on the floor. I refresh the scratch pad every month by spreading fresh catnip on it. Other issues: None, she's wonderful! American Shorthair Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello, my name is Olivia Rose! I am a 2 year old Orange Tabby girl! I am such a beauty with my vibrant coloring and mesmerizing green eyes! I am very smart, outgoing, adventurous, and I a Certified Super Snuggler! You might have noticed that I am dressed in the latest styles of cat-wear! :) Yes, I am rather unique! You see, I am a true survivor! I was once homeless and I suffered burns to my back. I triumphed over my rough start and my burns are all healed up but my back is still sensitive and I have to wear a t-shirt to keep my back protected. It really feels much better when I am covered up and I will have to wear one for life. I get ... (Read More)around just like any other cat, but with much more style! LOL! :) I am considered a special needs kitty because of my back sensitivity. I am looking for a special kind of adopter and home so that I can thrive. I want to find someone who is okay with my special needs, which may require more attention and very inexpensive medication at times. A nurse, vet tech, or someone with lots of cat experience would be ideal. I do my very best when I can have someone around a lot and I would like to sleep on the bed at night, too. I do very well when I can have safe outdoor time, such as a kitty porch or catio. This keeps my mind off of my back. :) Check out my YouTube video to see my unique looks! My $25 adoption fee includes vet check, spay, vaccinations, negative feline leukemia test, microchip, all medical records, lots of my favorite food, a brand new, tall cat tree!, and plenty of colorful t-shirts for all occasions! If you can give me a lifetime home as a t-shirt wearing feline and if you also have a solid cat history including a veterinarian, send an email to live.love.meow@gmail.com for an application! (Less)

Animal ID: Indiana - A572344Indiana - Only $55!!!! (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Kitten

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Most Dogs
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

INDIANA (Black and white SH kitten) - AVAILABLE!Only $55 adoption!!! Indiana was rescued from a hoarder and brought to the shelter. At the shelter, she ended up on their euthanasia list for being fearful. That's when Safe Haven stepped in and rescued this beautiful little girl. Indiana was a little shy at first, but warmed up fairly quickly. She's a climbing little monkey and likes to climb up on things. She likes to go under the covers/blankets, and loves all toys and will play with just about anything (gingle balls, wand toy, etc...) and loves to watch the birds outside. Birthday: 8/27/17 (this was what the Vet guessed her age to be ... (Read More)during the exam, but she is much smaller than the other kittens that same age. So she is either younger then the Vet thought, or she will be a small cat) Weight at last Vet visit: 4 lbs Cats: Yes, she is good with other cats and wants to go up and greet them and play. She has been friendly with all the cats here. She does have her favorites. She likes Epiphany the best and often goes up to her and rubs against her. Small Dogs: She's getting used to them Large Dogs: She's getting used to them Kids: Unknown, but older kids only because she is so small. Men: Unknown Women: Sweet and friendly Strangers: Keeps her distance and watches. Food: I feed all the cats on a rotational diet. Which means they get a different brand of high quality food each month. I do this because I do not think that one brand can provide all the nutrients that they need. Just like one food can't provide us with all that we need...Plus, who wants to eat the same thing every day? She is free fed (keep a large bowl out for her all the time). Litter Box Trained: Yes, I use the scoopable litter. Other issues: She has a kink at the end of her tail. You can't see it, but you can feel it when you run your hand down her tail. Adoption fee is only $55 & includes: - Spay/Neuter surgery - Tested for FELV and FIV per protocol (only cats that are negative go up for adoption) - Up to date on Vaccinations - Microchip - Collar - Other surprise goodies from Safe Haven - Free office visit to Vet - 50% off any Optimum Wellness Plan - 30 days of Free Pet Insurance (in case something comes up after adoption) - Other coupons from Partners - Available Paperwork: Spay/Neuter records, Vaccination records, Vet records, Micro records, Recommendation list, etc... - Continued Support: Safe Haven will be there for the lifetime of your new adopted pet. Animal ID: Epiphany - A556888Epiphany - Only $45!!! (female)

British Shorthair    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

EPIPHANY(Brown Classic Tabby with tuxedo & mitted markings) - AVAILABLE! Only $45 adoption!!! This sweetheart was saved off the euthanasia list at one of the big shelters. She was an owner surrender and was in labor upon intake. She is the Mother to both Peter and Paul. Two kittens that have already been adopted out. When at the shelter with her kittens, she was very protective of her babies and that landed her on the euthanasia list. That's when Safe Haven stepped in and rescued this beautiful little family. Epiphany was afraid of people when she first came, but is now a sweet, affectionate kitty once she gets to know you. She is talkative ... (Read More)and has a soft meow. She likes to explore, go under the covers, and be in high places. Although one of her favorite spots is on one of the dinning room chairs...She loves all toys and will play with just about anything (gingle balls, wand toy, etc...) Birthday: 8/26/16 Weight at last Vet visit: 9 lbs (she's gained a bit since then) Cats: Yes, she is good with other cats and wants to go up and greet them. She has been friendly with all the cats here. Even my personal kitty that does not like other cats and has hissed at Epiphany. Epiphany just respects her, and keeps her distance. She's very sweet. Small Dogs: Yes, great with small dogs and will usually go up to them and try to play with them. If they get overly rambunctious with her though and run at her, she will run away. Large Dogs: Yes, great with large dogs. She has been friendly with all the large dogs she has met. She'll lay on a chair in a room full of dogs playing and doesn't mind them barking. Kids: Unknown Men: Sweet and friendly Women: Sweet and friendly Strangers: Keeps her distance and watches. Food: I feed all the cats on a rotational diet. Which means they get a different brand of high quality food each month. I do this because I do not think that one brand can provide all the nutrients that they need. Just like one food can't provide us with all that we need...Plus, who wants to eat the same thing every day? I started out giving her a full bowl of dry food out all the time, but she started gaining to much weight. So I feed her 1 C. dry food a day now. She's a great eater and has eaten everything I've offered her, but I have discovered she has a grain allergy. So she needs grain free cat food. She is currently doing well on Wellness Core Grain Free dry cat food. Litter Box Trained: Yes, I use the scoopable litter. She likes her litter box covered. Possibly because there are so many dogs in the house. Scratch Pad Trained: Yes, I use the cardboard type that lays flat on the floor. I refresh the scratch pad every month by spreading fresh catnip on it. Other issues: None, she's wonderful. Very sweet and loving Adoption fee is only $45 & includes: - Spay/Neuter surgery - Tested for FELV and FIV per protocol (only cats that are negative go up for adoption) - Up to date on Vaccinations - Microchip - Collar - Other surprise goodies from Safe Haven - Free office visit to Vet - 50% off any Optimum Wellness Plan - 30 days of Free Pet Insurance (in case something comes up after adoption) - Other coupons from Partners - Available Paperwork: Spay/Neuter records, Vaccination records, Vet records, Micro records, Recommendation list, etc... - Continued Support: Safe Haven will be there for the lifetime of your new adopted pet. Rescue Me ID: 17-07-23-00205Sawyer (male)

Domestic Cat    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

Sawyer is originally from a farm and MUST roam. His aggression rises when confined or not allowed to roam. However, he will purr when picked up and brushed. He knows when he's loved. Doggie door to home on LARGE lot with grass/trees and nearby places to check out is optimal. Other cats around is NOT optimal. I have never been comfortable letting him roam in my townhome complex, but the neighbors know .him! He has a urinary issue that can flare up without urinary food. I will help acclimate him to new place, if allowed.

Bio straight from the mouth of the foster herself, 'Seahawk and Ranger are 7 months old. They have been fostered by me since they were 4 weeks old. They were abandoned found by a maintenance worker at the Ak-Chin pavilion. I bottle fed them with KMR until I was able to wean them onto hard food. They litter box trained and great around dogs (large and small), children and both men and women. They are a bonded pair and I would like for them to go together. They are full of energy and love to play.
